Threadless Jewelry TutorialSPECS & AVAILABLE SIZES
Q : I have pretty big earrings will the rod fit inside of the back ? A : The common post size for ear or cartilage piercing is 1/4"(6mm) but it all depends on an individual's physical anatomy. Please measure the current jewelry that fits properly or visit any local piercing studios to get the exact measurement. Q : Is this to take a regular earring and turn it into a flat back? A : No, this post only works with our bend to fit pins sold on our website, not with regular earring pins. Q : Is 8mm and 20g what I would need for lobe piercings? A : The common size for lobe piercing is 1/4" in(6mm) but it all depends on an individual's physical anatomy. Please measure the current jewelry that fits properly or visit any local piercing studios to get the exact measurement. Q : For a regular lobe piercing' would it be best to get 20g and 8mm? A : Most regula lobe piercings are either 20g or 22g. As for the length, it varies depending on the thickness of your lobe and you should probably get it measured for accuracy. Q : Will this fit over a 1 mm wide stud? A : Your question is unclear. 1mm wide stud or 1mm pin? ti500P is a threadless titanium post that fits the pin size .47mm (25 gauge) or less. It has nothing to do with stud size. Q : Hello. I have neometal sets (18 g) but would like shorter posts for them. Are these backs compatible with the neometal line of threadless jewelry? A : Yes, all our items are compatible with NeoMetal jewelry. Q : I have a 20 ga earring that I would like to use in my 14ga lobe piercing. Will the 14ga post accept / work with a 20ga pin on my earring? if so' how deep does the hole in the post go so I can trim the 20ga earring post to fit? Thank you!! A : A 14g piercing hole is fairly big compared to a 20g piercing hole so a 20g piercing will most likely not be secure and will be very loose. We would not recommend a 20g earring in a 14g hole as it can go into the piercing unless the stud/gem is large enough to keep the earring from falling into the hole. Q : If I bring these into a piercing place' will they use it for the initial jewelry? A : Each piercing place has different policies. We recommend you visit or call the piercing shop first to see if they will accept outside jewelry for the initial piercing. |
